Lakeview continues to be one of the most popular choices for young professionals and families looking to live close to downtown Chicago.
Chicago-based developer Byrne and Murphy Construction LLC has announced plans for a new four-story condominium project that will replace an existing building at 3153 North Hudson Avenue. The development will offer a total of five new units.
Each unit will offer three bedrooms and two bathrooms, with floor plans ranging around 1,650 square feet. Prices for the luxury condominiums will start at $500,000. Sales are expected to begin late next year.
The project was approved by the Chicago Plan Commission during a meeting last month.
Byrne and Murphy Construction LLC has a long track record of small condominium projects around Lakeview.
Sales of condos in Lakeview were down during the third quarter, according to a recent report from the Chicago Association of Realtors. However, the neighborhood continues to see a large volume of sales, trailing only the Near North Side in total sales during the quarter.
However, the inventory of unsold condos in Lakeview dropped during the quarter. The turnover time remained steady in the neighborhood, despite the drop in sales.
