Trio Offers Rental Option

January 9, 2010 - Anyone interested in a Chicago condo at Trio now apparently has the option to either rent or buy judging from the new advertising banner on the tower at 670 West Wayman Street. RDM president Robert Moskey was debating about switching this Chicago real estate project to a rental tower last fall and told Crain’s that he would make a final decision in about six months. Since the rental option is now available, he may be waiting to see which pans out better in terms of sales or leasing.

For buyers, the 22 story tower at Trio is FHA approved so that’s a plus. There are 100 units and of those around 30 are under contract at this time. Construction is expected to wrap up next month. The condos have from two to three bedrooms and 808 to 2,556 square feet of living space. The last time we checked, those had been listed between the $250,000 and $1.15 million range.

The condos come with the expected finishes like granite kitchen counter tops, hardwood floors, Bosch and Frigidair stainless steel appliances, natural stone in the baths and glass mosaic tiles. Each condo also has a private terrace and comes pre-wired for phone, cable and Internet. Building perks are a fitness center, 24 hour doorman, professionally landscaped courtyard and green roof top.

And if a condo at Trio isn’t exactly what you’re looking for, there are plenty of Chicago lofts for sale and for lease right now, so check back here often for all the latest news on pricing and deals.
